Is humidity giving you hell? It used to be that way for me in the winter. But this morning I went to hold Monty and I noticed that the windows were fogged over! I have his bowl near the light so the humidity shot up, it's awsome. I've always used cages that lose it. I opened it up and I bet it was right around 70-75%, yeah maybe too high. I picked him up and he was alert as ever. We was kinda damp, from the humidity, not wet, but moist and hydrated. His scales were looking great, and he looked very well. I'm gonna try feeding him next friday, lets see if the humidity trick works.

    Humidity

Typical humidity in my cages is anywhere from 40% at the worst, and 55% at a good time. I have no way of controlling it typically. I'm thinking 70% is just about right for bp's now. I've typically only had bursts of humidity, not really seen it long term.

I also had a problem with humidity, but I've solved that now. I have a humidifier beside my tank now, and I rigged up some 2" pluming pipe that goes directly into my tank. I have it all on a timer so the humidifier is on for an hour, then off for half an hour. I have the top of the tank sealed except for where the humidifier is (and that brings fresh air into the tank. With this system I am able to control my temp and humidity right down to the degree. Right now I have my tank at 92 degrees on the hot side, and the humidity throughout the tank is 68%

    I will post pictures soon...

I'd really like to see a picture of your setup when you can post 'em. Is there any risk of the snake crawling into the 2" pipe? Or is it screened off somehow?
