    They are growing an inch a week.

    Got some unusual shots today.. They have a whole network of tunnels under the surface.. pretty cool.

    This hole on the surface is quite small, I set the cam on macro and shined a flashlight down the hole to get these.






    The tunnels connect and I can often hear them hissing down under the surface.

    Basking.... Littlefoot is sprawled out flat, this is common to maximize surface area to absorb radiant heat from above.



    Here we can clearly see the nictitating membrane (third eyelid) "blinking" on the right eye.





    In a really bad mood.....

    Very cute I love pictures! The close-ups of Littlefoot's face is priceless *nods* ... I used to have a western red painted turtle named Little Foot. Great name!

    Sometimes monitors will get a bit cranky though.. Don't be fooled by the cute pics.

    Giant step in the trust department, Littlefoot came out and walked right onto my leg.







    The two of them just hanging out.. Littlefoot is asleep as Cera watches.
