I tried offering Peanut a rat-pup today. He refused, and got a little irritated with it from what I could tell. The pup was live, and I scented it by leaving it in the cage I recently had a mouse colony breeding in for my old kingsnakes. I got fed up with trying, and took the pup back to the store... exchanged it for a mouse. He hit the mouse not 5 seconds after it was offered. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, happened to me. Sometimes they simply don't want to switch right away. I tried rats 3 times and Monty didn't want them. Then one time I brought him a big rats and he pounded it like nobody's business. It takes a few times.
