    Talking Bird of prey

I've been trying to get a quality shot of this hawk since we moved into our apartment two Novembers ago. Luckily he/she was eating some fresh prey so I had enough time to take 123 pictures. Here are the ones that turned out alright. Some better than others. I'm so pumped that I can finally cross this off my "things to do list." AWESOME, this made my day!

What's even cooler is that you can see that it has been tagged for research. I'm on cloud nine right now.

    Thanks for looking.

you could probabaly call a local zoo to get in contact with the right people. there aint too many people taggin hawks, so someone will be able to identify the tags. Keep us posted.. it would be cool to know how far ot traveled from its release spot.

Look like the green tag has maybe a "TZJ" mark on it? That might help.

Nice shots! Cooper's are one of my fave birds to work with. Were these taken in Arizona? Bill Burger (I think that's his name) at Fish & Game should be able to give you info on the tag. Or contact the Arizona Falconry Association. One or the other should be able to help you out!
