    Plexi and glue...

For some reason I'm convinced it's hard to drill holes and attach hinges to plexi, I've never tried but I remember reading it somewhere. Does anyone know what type of glue bonds well to plexi?

    Thanks

the type 4 cement from either tap or IPS works best. the IPS 16 is thick and makes a good bond but is hard to work with if you havent used it before

I have drilled plexi, not all that hard but if you mess up your buying a new sheet, I never really liked glueing it either I just cant glue. I use double sided tape on my hinges now and it works great jsut get the HD outdoor stuff and it will hold forever ( I broke the plexi trying to get it off.)

    Re: Plexi and glue...

i would sandwich the hinge between two pieces of plexiglass. Use fingernail polish remover lightly on both sides and push together with the hinge in the middle. The remover will act a bonder and bond the plexiglass together. Just make sure you dont use too much...or you end up with a gooey mess. That is a good way to fix plexiglass if you crack it too. it does not really look as good but the crack will be gone.

Thanks for the input guys! Where would I get heavy duty double sided tape? I've only seen the scotch kind, lol.
