    Yellow Belly or Normal?

I am considering the snakes in this ad; http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...d.php?t=302244

However, I am not very good at telling yellow bellies apart from normals and would like some second opinions. What do you guys think?

    Thanks,
    Austin

Hard to tell from really horrible pictures, but with what's provided, they don't look like yellowbellies to me. Their 'tracks' look pretty normal, not speckling down the sides, but like I said, can't really tell from the photos.

    Re: Yellow Belly or Normal?

My advice to ANYone considering buying any of the more subtle morphs... If YOU can't TELL exactly what it is, don't buy it.

Don't buy from someone who can't post pictures clear enough to identify the animal. And don't buy morphs you can't identify on sight.

That's just some general advice. Your situation may be unique and have its own exceptions. But as a general rule, I think it's something folks should really consider before plunking down hard-earned money on something you can't recognize in the first place.

Agreed. Plus anyone with one post, iffy pictures and selling almost breedable animals for a killer price just has too many red flags for my taste...

If the person just posts two pics of their stomachs that tells me he thinks the only factor to tell a yellow belly is their belly. Which obviously is not the case. I would stay away personally.

I would not buy from anyone not willing to take the shots needed for proper ID. Just not worth it.
