Incubator - Fan Placement

I know this was discussed and I believe the concensus was that the fan should be place at the top of a wine cooler incubator.

What about the angle? Facing across, down, angled toward opposite corner, etc.? I'm not sure if the air is exchanging well enough with the front (glass door).

Is it better to have one big fan or two fans?

I use one fan facing from the top down blowing over the heat tape. It seems to work well for me. In a big glass door cooler my temp gardient was 1 degree from top to bottom. You will find with too big of a fan it will get too hot in there.

I have the fan in the corner because that's where there's room. I'll see if I can fit it right above the heat tape.

I currently have a small PC fan in there. I ordered a 120x120x38mm AC fan and I'll have to play around with placement.

I have mine zip tied to the Top shelf on the door of the fridge blowing straight back so the air blows across the top, hits the back wall where the heat tape is and circulates down and back up the front to the fan

The problem I have is that there's two 6qt boxes per level with two shelves and the bottom. There's not a clear area to blow air because the boxes take up most of the space.

I have always ran my fans on the bottom of the incubator, works perfectly fine

If we had some pics we could probably make a more informed suggestion for you. Right now it's all guesstimating haha

I have one fan on top in the back and one fan on the bottom in the front, that way I have a circular motion of air = no hot spots

We place our bathroom ceiling fan on the floor blowing into a false wall and across the heat tape.
The heated air escapes out the top in the back and is pulled across the tubs to the fan on the bottom to repeat the circulation.
No hot spots and temps within 1 degree top to bottom.
No exposed heat tape makes it so tubs can but placed anywhere in the inc without being up against the heat tape.

Last season we had flexwatt on each side and the fan on the floor of the inc blowing against the back, it worked very well(100% hatch rate) except the tubs were warmer on the ends than in the middle so we went to a false wall to hide the flexwatt.

I am building a larger incubator out of a Pepsi drink cooler. It has a fan and light that works. I have removed the compressor and condenser. Should I use the installed fan or not? The temp is holding steady at 90 with the thermostat set at 91 and the fan on. My heating element area is 21"x60".
