    Some confusion on NY law.

This is quoted from the NYS Law conserning exotic animals as pets.

"(5) All reptiles that are venomous by nature, pursuant to department regulation, and the following species and families: Burmese Python (Python m. bivittatus), Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus), African Rock Python (Python sabae), Green Anaconda (Eunectes maurinus), Yellow Anaconda (Eunectes notaeus), Australian Amethystine Python (Morelia amethistina kinhorni), Indian Python (Python molurus), Asiatic (water) Monitor (V. salvator), Nile Monitor (V. nilocitus), White Throat Monitor (V. albigularus), Black Throat Monitor (V. albigularus ionides) and Crocodile Monitor (V. salvadori) and any hybrid thereof."

The part in bold, does that mean all Carpets?

    Hope I don't sound stupid.

    Thanks.

I do not think so as Morelia amethistina kinhorni is a scrub python not a carpet. Though they are closely related scrubs get larger than any of the carpets do.

Okay thanks guys, I googled it to get mixed answers. I assumed it was just the one because of size also.

I want some carpets in the future and if I end up staying in NY...which it looks like I won't be able to keep any retics or burms...

    Gotta think outside the box.

I love my carpet, he is very different from my ball pythons. I can't wait for him to get bigger

I love the zebras but way to pricey for me now...probably just a nice tiger or plain jane IJ.

I really like the look of the Jungles. My Coastal/Jungle integrate is perfect mix of the 2 for me. Coastal coloration with the Jungles banding.

Old pictures so his colors have changed a little but still pretty close only major difference is size (he grew 9 inches in the first month I had him!)

I do like the IJ Jags

Thanks. It was his liquid silver eyes that made me buy him (I was looking for a carpet at the time granted but I was after a much older one)
