    Android users???

I have been using Juice Defender on my android (Motorola Photon) for a while now but I am starting to use my data more and this one shuts down the 4g regardless if you are using it or not.
This thing is a battery monster but then again it has a duel core processor so I knew it would be, I am just trying to get a full day (12 - 14 hours) without having to charge it even if I am not using it.

I was looking on the market and found Easy Battery Saver so I am going to try it out.

Question is, What is everyone else using and what DONT you like about it? I would prefer free or at least a free version to try out.

    Re: Android users???

I resisted and resisted and finally got an extended battery. That, and also using Wifi when I could (work and home) helped a lot on the battery life.

I don't use Juice Defender or similar. Got too complicated for me, and I just wanted easy.

The extended wont fit into any of my holsters and they are only from companies I have never heard of.

i think it was called auto task killer on mine, i deleted it though because after the last update it kept force closing EVERYTHING. now i ust keep my brightness low, and i turned off the vibration for when your typing and stuff, and i can probably get about 15% more usage before another charge

I use the EVO 3D on MetroPCS.

What i do is turn off the 3G/4G data when its shotty service, as the phone will continue searching for best signal which results in poor battery.

Also go into wireless settings>mobile network and turn off always on mobile network. This will turn off the connection when its not in use and save battery as well.

Next Turn off Background Data, this alone will give you another 4 hours battery as its always updating and syncing everything in background all day long.

Only programs i use on mine is Advanced Task manager configured to kill tasks every 30 mins. And then i use Solo Battery Widget which monitors battery and temps.

My phone is the 1.2 dual core processor and i get 22 hrs per battery

None of those apps really worked for me. I just bought a spare battery and charge dock for it off ebay.

I use easy battery saver, but it doesn't really do much. I'm usuing a samsung precedent and the battery life is pretty good for the amount of data I use. Though the darn thing heats up like its on fire!

I too have a spare battery that I charge and switch out.

    Re: Android users???

i'm an EVO 4g user just waiting to upgrade.

Evo's exprienced the same problems and the only real solution was a bigger battery.

Control your wifi manually when not in use and change your screen brightness. These aare the two biggest energy killers on my EVO.
android phones can benefit greatly from software modification (rooting).

With the bigger battery and brightness setting changes, my EVO went from 12 hours to 2 days with moderate use. I can get a full day with heavy use if I am home and use Wifi.
