New reptile law w/ yellow anaconda's

Why exactly were green anacondas not banned for interstate travel but yellows were? Green anacondas are bigger and probably more of a handful.
    A bunch of carpet pythons!

Well since none of the rest of the ban makes sense I think we can just write it off on their ignorance.

My biggest issue with the law is that it supposedly is to keep Burmese pythons out of the Everglades (I live in Florida, and I could understand a State ban but not a national)... so why are there any other snakes on the list at all?

Yellows were included because they are more tolerant of cooler temps than greens and therefore pose a greater risk of becoming an invasive species. The ban has nothing to do with public safety. They are "protecting" other states from the same problem that Florida has with the burms. I would love to see a burm or anaconda survive a Wisconsin winter outside.

The encroachment of Uncle Sam into snake laws is very irrational in general. It's upsetting!

I know right! Like a Burm is going to survive a Maine winter.

Which is stupid in itself, since every state already has Burms and most/all of the other snakes in them anyway. This law makes no sense at all.

Its all true, I saw a scientific report typed up by a governemnt official and it said that a Burm was found constricting a polar bear at the North Pole....it wouldn't have been so bad except after killing the polar bear he left it and ate 4 of Santas Elfs and a reindeer. Eventually they will be eating all the blue whales in the oceans.

They will be back next year to take the other 5. They took them off because of the economical impact. They would of had to jump through hoops to take all 9 at once it would of been to big a hit to the economy at once. So they separated them. Greens will go on soon enough.
