    New betta!

Oh, how I missed having sweet little fishies around the house. I didn't realize how much I missed betta keeping until I got this little guy. What a doll!

No name yet. I'm sure I'll think of something soon!

Nice betta! Love the color on him
What a coincidence that I find a post on here tonight about a betta, and I just 'rescued' one tonight lol I don't have any pics but she a pretty little dark blue girl. I'm thinking of setting up a sorority now..

When this guy sees himself in the mirror or reflection in the glass he freaks out! He's already a fiesty dude to be honest, but a bit of a coward. He needs some practice flaring to raise his confidence a bit. I think as soon as he's settled in to his 5 gallon planted tank he will feel much more confident. Right now he's in quarantine to make sure he's healthy(though from the looks of it he's doing pretty good), while I double and triple check the water in the big tank!

Here's mine. I blurred out the background so you wouldn't have to see how dirty the glass is

    Oh what a cutie!

And I love sororities! I was originally planning on not getting another betta until I got a sorority set up (was going to buy from Chard off aquabid, he has a horrible camera but amaaaazing bettas in person) but this guy just screamed my name. Even Nathan wouldn't let me leave the store without him!

    I took a few iphone pictures~

Right now he's pretty shy. I've only seen him flare once, and he saw himself in the reflection flare back and he immediately swam away and hid. It was pretty adorable. I'm planning on using a breeder trick and boosting his confidence by letting him 'win' some flare contests by pulling away the mirror when he shows his toughness. Hopefully he will be self confident enough to swim proudly soon enough!

He has been blowing bubbles, but then he separates his nest all over the tank, so there are just little bubbles everywhere instead of a solid nest. Lol. I don't think he knows quite what he's doing yet.

^That's funny bettas are such great fish and I'm enjoying my little rescue. She's not shy at all and loves being in a ten gallon instead of a tiny bowl

They are amazing fish! I always recommend them specifically to herp people with reptile rooms, because many who have heated rooms don't even require heaters to keep their tanks warm, they just get natural warm temps! I can't wait to have a herp room..it will also be my betta room!

Okay okay, last thing I'll post haha! Here's a video:

    His name is Wander now.
