This could not have happened at a worse time...
A woman was apparently bit in the face by a pet ball python here in Madison, WI.

Madison, WI has a population similar to Orlando, FL. We're not that small, but snakes are news right now.

wow,,, your right,, not that small at all.... how in the hell does this make the news, and how in the hell does a BP hold on long enough for police/ fire / rescue,, and a boyfriend get there before letting go??????????

that just made me hate newscasters even more than i already did, and i like how nobody ever asks WHY snakes bite when they bite

I don't believe the story. I think it's sensationalism based on the current stories and propositions about snakes.

That does suck. Seems kinda strange though. Would like to hear the whole story.

My guess is that the girlfriend freaked out and called 911 because the boyfriend/owner wasn't there to deal with the situation. I can see how someone not experienced with snakes would be frightened having one attached to their face (and hand?). However, it also means that she shouldn't have been messing around with the animal in the first place. Count me in on the "This isn't news worthy" team
