breeding age
At what age do males and females no longer produce useable sperm or viable eggs? is there such age?

As far as I know, they are able to breed until death. I've seen an article out there about a 23 (or something close) year old female ball python at a zoo that had her first clutch of eggs at her age

As long as the snake is healthy then theyre ok to breed. There was another post on here pretty recently asking the same question and i remember someone said the record for the oldest bp was 47. So i guess if i had a snake that reached 40 i might stop breeding it lol

There actually aren't that many animals that go through 'menopause', and as far as I have read snakes aren't one of those animals.

Reptiles continue breeding until they die of old age. Because they continue to slowly grow over the course of their life, it's the big old animals that lay the most eggs, and tend to have big, robust offspring.
This is good for the species, because a reptile that has reached extreme old age in the wild must be doing something right.
