My male Fire's shed has no pattern even though *he* does.
It just looks sort of like snake-shaped crinkled wax paper.

    What does that mean?

I've always heard hypo's will shed clear...i.e...you won't see any pattern in their shed skin. I don't have any hypo's so just going by what I read...

Yeah, second this question. I've never heard of a single-gene snake producing clear sheds. That's cool. Is it normal for fires?

FWIW my ghost actually produces clearer sheds than my blue-eyed lucy. The super mojave's sheds have a slight yellowish cast.

I'll toss something even odder into the mix.

With the exception of a small bit of dark shading on the head portion, my Spider male's shed has the same crinkled wax paper look.

When you say "clear", do you mean totally transparent like cellophane or just without any color/markings visible?

Who's the resident Sheds Expert here?......

[yes, I carefully unroll and save them all]....LOL

it would be extremely easy to tell which ball pythons are ghosts if you have a known normal to compare to or a morph other than ghost/hypo ghosts and hypos produce complete white sheds if you compare a known ghost to a fire shed you can tell the difference immediately there was a thread somewhere on this website a long time ago with pictures of a hypo shed and a BEL shed and the ghosts shed was practically pure white the BELs shed was yellow just save the shed of the snake in question next time and take a picture and post on here

not sure about the pattern/color of the shed I'll have to keep one I just toss them with the papers usually I have a couple normal girls but the are on different spectrum one is almost a off white and with awesome black outlining of the brown another is very dark with no white so not very helpful I got the girl in question because of the banding so 3 completely different normals I thank all of you for helping me It's nice to be able to bounce around questions and ideas
