Google is the best tool to use. Just search the name you intend to use.

Start it Get a website going, a logo, business cards, shirts, and some advertising. You also need to have something to sell! If you don't have anything to sell yet, or not very much to sell, I would at least get the website done. I started working on my website a year before I even started breeding. It takes a while to get a website done and looking how you want it.
Oh, and getting the website done quick and paying for a domain name insures that no one will be able to steal your domain name before you get your website set up.

Remember that if you are registered business, you need to register a DBA to use anything other than your name. (For example, if I did not have a DBA, I could use 'Donna Fernstrom Exotics", or "Donna Fernstrom Reptiles", but in order to use Eclipse Exotics, I had to register the business name with the state, and have the name announced in a newspaper article, to meet the State's requirements). Conducting business under any other name than your own or a registered DBA is not legal.
