    Dirty snake

My boys been lookin real dirty for awhile now (dirt under scales....thought it might be mites for a bit, but luckily just dirt, and just whole parts of him that look like he's been playin in dirt). Not real sure if this is normal, or how he'd pick up dirt (usin coconut substrate). Anyway, my question is how to get him clean? Doubt just a regular soak would do it...should I put him in a tub with a SMALL amount of Dawn in it (gotta clean with it after anyway) and give him a quick little (gently of course) scrubbing, rinse, & dry? Would that be ok for him?

Should be fine. Rinse well. Use only a drop or two of soap.

I wouldnt even worry about it, if your snake has managed to get coco under his scales, I would leave him be, its gonna happen again anyway. you might want to double check thats its not something else though, ive ised coco for ove five years and ive never seen my snake get it under his scales
