    Star Wars The Old Republic

Have any of you guys been in any of the beta weekends? I was invited for two of them. I wasn't very impressed with the first one, but this past weekend was awesome! There are a few bugs here and there, but nothing that you can't deal with. I played the original Star Wars Galaxies, but I can definitely say this will be better.

Is anybody else going to be playing The Old Republic?

I'll buy it but I'm not too hopeful. I only played the last one for a day or two.

This game is amazing, by the way. Very addicting. Already have my Sith Inquisitor at level 20

I was in the beta weekend over Thanksgiving so I didn't get to play much. I really liked it and made it to about level 10 i think as a Jedi Counselor. Healing is kind of 'my thing' =). I am waiting to pick it up to see how it does. I am planning on picking it up after the first of the year, but that is contingent on how it holds up.

After wasting money on Aeon and Rift, I don't want to make the same mistake. Aeon was a waste, it was a beautiful game, just no 'staying' power for me. Rift had a lot going for it, but lacked good group mechanics, imo, and community. After playing Rift for a little more than the free 30 days, I was still unable to find any 'friends' in the game. Everyone had adopted the WoW dungeon finder mentality.

As a background, I played WoW for 4 years. At the peak of my WoW 'career' I was in a US top 15 guild during Ulduar/ToC in WotLK. Played a NE Resto Druid.

I was thinking about picking this game up myself. Was wondering how it is compared to other MMOs. I played WoW since beta and not sure how this would stack up to that experience.

It's a great game and the leveling was fully immersive but after that i am fully bored and already cancelled my account. I guess mmo's have lost their charm.

I played wow from beta til the firelands patch in cata.

I am now back to playing bf3 and LoL!
