    locusts Vs. Mealworms

I Just bought a Leopard Gecko and the person I bought him from said that I couldnt feed him mealworms as a regular diet that I had to give him locusts or crickets every day and mealworms once in a while. Just wanted to know if there was any truth to that. I would prefer not to have locusts cause they are hard to keep track of and jump all over the place and crickets smell and are very annoying.

I fed my leo a diet primarily of mealworms and she has done just fine. I switched her over to superworms because she's big enough now.
