    Update on my Chinchilla baby!

His name is Cricket, his mom is Daisy. If you know guns at all, Cricket is a child rifle brand and Daisy is a bb gun brand

Here he is when I first got him. He was about a week old

And now, he's almost 3 months old, such a cutie, but a little bit of a poop head, lol.

She thinks she can keep me away from the wrapping paper by putting it on top of the couch...good one human.

The dogs get all the good chew stuff

Here is Daisy in the cage

Thank you! They are incredibly soft! I can't believe how many people had never touched a chinchilla before they came over to our house. They say "why do I want to touch it?" and I tell them to just do it and they are amazed with how soft they are and say "they should make coats out of these!" Sometimes I take the time to explain that breeding them to make coats is the reason they became pets.

Your chin is very cute! I would recommend getting rid of all of that plastic in the cage, though. As you probably know, chinchillas chew on EVERYTHING. Ingesting plastic can be very dangerous for them and can even lead to death. You can replace the shelves with ones made from kiln-dried pine. There are quite a few places that sell them online or you can also make them yourself. Here's a picture of my chinchilla's cage to give you an example:

1.1 Ball Pythons, 1.1 Corn snakes, 0.0.1 Garter snake, 1.1.2 Crested geckos, 0.2 Mourning Geckos, 0.2 Leopard geckos, 0.1 Indonesian blue tongue skink

Aw, super cute! I always wanted a chinchilla, but I don't have time right now to take care of any more animals that have to eat and poop every day

P.S. Awesome choice with the antler chews for the dogs, they're fantastic. Actually they're great for rodents too if you decide to switch up the chewing medium.
