Feeding my baby Hog
So, I know it may be a little soon for this question. Ive had my Hog island for 3 days and I know from talking to the breeder that it has been exactly a week since he last ate. I offered him a live rat pinky and he seemed scared of it. I waited until tonight and offered him a f/t mouse and he seemed more curious than he was towards the rat but still ignored it. Should I wait another day maybe a week? Any advice? Thanks in advance,

I suggest waiting a week, poor critter is still nervous about the move. Give him time to settle in.

I agree. Give him a week to settle in, then offer whatever type prey the breeder was feeding...

Both of mine ate the first day i had them. Don't know how big your hog island is but a Hopper or rat pup is an appropriate size for one that is eating.

And most will not touch f/t till their established eaters

I acquired 2 3 year olds. The male ate the second day the female took a week to settle in.

Thanks all, I guess I will try again saturday. by then my rat pinkies will be to big so i guess i will have to go buy a mouse hopper for him
