    Black Snow (new)

These two black pastel vpi snowballs hatched out a little over a month ago, and since they haven't been produced yet, I thought I'd share. There is a pretty amazing story to go along with these, so I'll share...

Last winter I made a purchase from Outback Reptiles which were the producing parents of these two below. They were sold to me as a black pastel het vpi axanthic and female het vpi axanthic. Well I paired them up hoping to hit on a black pastel axanthic, the female laid 4 slugs and 4 eggs, 2 which died shortly there after. I was left with 2 eggs...

well the day came I get a phone call from my fiance that a snake's head is out and it's all white with red eyes... I'm like damn, they sold me het albinos.... I then ask her to check to see if she sees yellow, she says, "no yellow, pure white". Well I then figure it out that the two breeders sold to me were not only het axanthics, but het albino as well.... the second snake comes out shortly there after and is also a snow... I'm in shock, knowing the male sire was also a black pastel... Well sure enough, in the right light they are also black pastels, which made this even sweeter. I'm still in shock every time I see these two girls, looking forward to seeing them grow.

Sorry for the crappy iphone pictures, I completely misplaced my camera memory card, so I need to still get some good shots. Hopefully you guys can see the black pastel pattern.
