Re: PLEASE HELP- VIV overheated!
Snakes can definitely overheat, and the main signs are neurological (i.e wobbly/shaky movement, uncoordinated, etc). However, I doubt that even if she was exposed to 110 temps for the full three hours that it would cause any serious damage, and I'm guessing the cat didn't pull down the shade right away, so it was probably even less time. I'm sure she'll be fine as long as you made sure to correct the temps immediately. Just keep an eye on it and maybe try to move her viv to another location farther from the window

Should be okay but make sure the snake has a place to cool down at for a while.

Just allow the temps to return to normal don't try to cool the snake with some cooling idea. Just like with people don't try to drop the core temp too fast it can shock the system. Just correct the problem and let things drop on their own. Just increase the air flow some to help remove the hot air.

Was referring to maybe turning off the heat source, just to clarify. Not sticking the snake in an ice bath or anything.
