    Releasing my baby bulls!

On Sunday Oct 2nd was the perfect high 70's degree day here to let my bullsnakes into the wild.
At one area we relased 4 snakes in a low forested area of trees and ground clutter, this was about 100 yards from the river.

In the other area (about 10 miles away from area #1) we released 3 snakes into a tall grass prairie away from farm lands and roads.

I hope they are doing ok, I fed them each 3 meals of peach fuzzy mice and I hope that gave them the extra boost they need to increase their survival.

If you want to read their story from the beginning see my first bullsnake post.

    Im one proud snake mama!

I hope they go out and do great things for the local population. I'm assuming they are native and populations are low. I used to get calls when I was in the army cuz they were in peoples houses and all over the place. They were always tame and beautiful animals. If ur breeding them to set them free, I may have to PM u to setup a deal.

Yes bullsnakes are native to our prairies. I cant say the population is suffering, im sure they're doing quite well actually.

We had caught the mother and saved her from being run over on the highway and she laid a clutch of eggs for us. I still have the mother but I guess I dont plan on breeding colubrids so this was kind of a one time thing.
