OK, I know it's a morph but what exatly is it ??

I just bought this 09 Male two nights ago and was told it was a Black Pastel possible het ghost. I currently have 2.0 adult Black Pastels and .3 hatchlings and none of them look like this one. The patterns and fading tell me it is a cinnamon but the colors are quite different from any cinnamon or black pastel I've ever seen. The flames coming up from it's belly have a very distinct green outline. Any ideas??[IMG][/IMG]

I will try to get photos of him next to my other Black Pastels to show the difference in colors cause this picture doesn't quite capture them very well.

I would say that it could be a Black Pastel! What size is it? Some will get dull with age! If the breeder said it was Black Pastel Het Ghost then I would tend to believe him as they know what the parents are!

Unfortunately, I picked this up from a friend that got it from a friend etc etc.... I have tried to contact the previous owner to see if I can get any updates but I have yet to receive a response.
I really didn't need another male Black Pastel but this one was quite a bit different from any of mine that I currently own.

Looks like a black pastel to me. Just a nice light one.

The thing about the hypo/orange ghost gene is that in hets it lightens the snake slightly. If that snake proves to be 100% het down the rd then you'll have your answer as to why it looks so good.

    hey mike,
ive seen this snake in person but cant remember the head on it. the head should give it away.
it was a very light black pastel/cinny but the possibility that its het for ghost could be the reason. i passed on this snake because i needed a really dark male for my girl. i was intrigued by him just for is looks though...very unique look indeed

In my opinion a low quality Black Pastel can look like a Cinny but a Cinny can never look like a Black Pastel. Black Pastels should have the squiggly lines in the alien heads. A low quality Black Pastel can be lacking them. You can take away an attribute but you can't add to.
