Tattooed cichlid? That is the most inhumane thing done to fish these days in my opinion and anyone who keeps tattooed fish is not concerned about the fish's wellbeing....

Let me guess - it was a blood parrot.

Edit: ^Joe, ya can't win them all. Crap like this is why a lot of us get really picky about who we sell to.

I doubt he knows or cares. He has been trolling the forum for the past couple days. He is a prime example of why this thread was started.

Don't remember. What do people have against blood parrots? And I do know what a blood parrot is. I've got a few cichlids myself.

Some people complain because it's a hybrid. Is it inhumane when I catch them with a hook in their mouth, leave them in a cooler for a few hours, take them home, and filet them while they're whole? Delicious.

Normal parrots are hyrbids, like flowerhorns, but 'Blood' parrots have been dyed/tattooed to have that deep red. Naturally they tend to be more orangey.

tattooing a fish is such a dumb idea, and blood parrots are the most common fish other than balloon mollies that are tattooed.

Also, I think they are ugly, but that isn't the point.

Well it must not have been a blood parrot because it was albino. I wouldn't buy one. I think normal oscars and jack dempseys look cool enough as they are.
