Re: Ball python weight gain
That depends. Not every BP gains the same amount of weight / feeding. And you can always expect her to go off feed for a couple of weeks as the breeding season is about to commence. So I think It's very hard to put a date on that.
I have a female that took very long to get to 1100g and then boomed to 1540 in about 2 months....

thanks. Should I expect any of my ball pythons to stop feeding even if I keep the temperature the same as I do all year? I've always had a carpet and she has always ate through the winter.

Yes, they do just keep the habbit to stop eating once in a while, no matter what. Not every one does it but they do tend to do it. So if it occures, don't worrie, just keep offering and you'll be allright!

Re: Ball python weight gain
Going off feed during breeding season occures when you are night dropping. If you are not night dropping her she probablly wont go off feed for long if she does at all. Ball python growth varies based on metabolism. Not all snake has the dame metabolism. Im also convinced that certain morphs grow at a faster pace.
