    New (bloodthirsty) normal girl :D

This is my first "just mine" snake, and hoo boy, did I get myself into something interesting, haha. I definitely did not take the girl I bought her from seriously enough when she told me that she's got an attitude. I only got these 2 pics before I pulled away so she couldn't strike at me, haha. She had also been stalking my partner and striking in his directions while she was on my bed (she was a little unexpected, so I had to set up a tub for her). No bites yet though, but I definitely think its a matter of time, haha.

Sorry they're so blurry, I'll get better ones once she's calmed down a bit. You can still make out her pattern and colors pretty well though. She's got a really nice yellow to her, and her aliens have no eyes, which I think is neat

She's very pretty. I bet she'll settle down eventually. I had an extremely snippy hatchling that finally relaxed a month or so after I sold her. She might feel more secure with a smaller hide (or two), which could help ease her attitude, too.

I'll be giving her some nicer hides, the one she has was more of a "quick, put something in there before she figures out how to jump off the bed and tag me" situation, haha. Once she's had her time to settle into the new environment I'll start working with her, doing small handling sessions (and stocking up on bandaids beforehand lol).

Haha, yeah, it's a good thing the babies don't hurt! Best of luck with her!

Hides and food! Nothing better to calm a feisty snake down than some food to weigh em down and relax for a few days!

I had been thinking of feeding her at the end of her acclimation week, but if she stays this snappy after a few days I might spoil her a little (especially if any of my pregnant rats pop in the next week lol. Hooray for free snake snacks).

Not turning this into a debate with anyone, but I offer mine food first day then they go in their hides to digest for a few days and before you know it their acclimation is over

It is nice to be able to walk across the room for the perfect size rat, just like a grocery store

Thats probably a better idea, I just wasnt sure what her previous feeding schedule was, and I've got my fingers crossed that my most pregnant - and most stubborn - rat will have her litter this week lol.
