    Circleback Reverse Stripe!?!?!

    Hi guys and gals,

So this girl is being offered to me by a local breeder/new friend. He is selling her as a circleback reverse stripe, which she seems to be, and she is gorgeous, however I can not find anything online about one, and have no idea whether I should start her as a breeding project or what! She is a 2011 model, and the original breeder is "unknown"

    Here she is:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get into boa breeding, and just dont know/understand her potential. He is cutting me a deal on the price for $200...but that was supposed to go to another snake that fits into my breeding plans really well....

I don't believe there is anything of the sort. She doesn't have any reverse stripe though she does have a rough tail stripe, just not reverse. I can see what you mean by the circles, but that just happens randomly sometimes.

As for her potential she could possible pass her "look" down to her offspring but unless the seller provides some proof that this can be passed down I think she is just a normal.

You won't find too many boa enthusiasts here (though there are some), and I know that if I ever had a boa question, I'd try to shoot an email to Vin Russo over at cuttingedgeherp.com, I believe he (literally) wrote "THE" book on keeping boa constrictors.

Either way I'd be pretty tempted.

I don't think so, but I'm hoping someone will help reassure my opinion. I think for 200$ you could get something else that would be a good asset to any collection.

Yea well my other option is to go with this gal:

to go along with my male red pastel hypo...

They are both 50% het albino/anery/stripe..could hit the odds, or could just get insane orange/red hypo pastels!
