Is this a good deal for orange ghost?

I found one on craiglists for a male orange ghost for $150. It was $200 awhile ago. The seller told me he is about a year or so and weighs 256g. He also only eats live adult mice that seller does not want to deal with. Does this bp sound underweight for its age? And will he continue to be a problem feeder? I have pics from the seller but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post since they were not taken by me and I don't have permission from the owner. Thanks.

Yes post pic, give credit to "craiglist seller", I'm sure the photo is not copy righted. To answer the weught question yes he does sound under weight, but the seller probably wasn't feeding regularly or offering multiples.

He sounds underweight for being a year old. Mine are usually anywhere from 500g to 800g (give or take some) at that age. It sounds like a good price if the snake is healthy.

I'd say $150-200 seems normal for a male ghost. I paid $225 for my female orange ghost at 75 grams at the Tucson show. Less than a year later she is 600 grams, and IMO an exceptional example of the morph. I think you could find a better example of the morph at the same cost. It all depends on your area. If breeders and shows aren't available you might need to pay additional costs for shipping. It's up to you.

What are your plans for him a pet or future breeder?

But pricing for babies is always lower, and this snake is a year old. Speaking of which, he doesn't look like he only weighs 300 grams. I'd say see him in person before you commit, but he doesn't look bad.

I just started my collection but I do like the orange ghost pastels and also combos with lessers.

What is a good asking price for this guy?

If he were at around 800g $200-250nwould be an ok price, but seeing as the seller states that he is a problem feeder, and he's only 256g. You may be able to haggle the price some.

I have hatchlings that aren't yet 3 months old that are 160g

He doesn't look underweight. I also have a 2010 male that is a bit on the small size, just over 300 grams. He eats as much as anyone else, just a slow grower I guess. He was hatched later in the year, which also makes a difference.
