This is a spider right??
So i found someone in my area that is selling this ball python for very cheap. This is the only picture he has and i just want to make sure. It looks like a spider right?. i know its not the best quality and its sorta small. He also says its a female. So if its a spider i am definitely going to pick her up. you wont believe the price he is asking.

It's hard to tell on my phone but it looks like it. If the price is right I'd pick it up for the cool pattern
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

Yup that's for sure a spider. It's got the pattern, high white sides and the right head pattern for it. I'd say go for it if it's female!

Re: This is a spider right??
Hi,
A note of caution.
That does indeed look like a spider.
But before you bring it home have a good quarantine area set up, read up on the spider wobble so you don't freak out, and ask yourself, and them, why they are selling it.
Inspect it carefully to see if you will need to treat for mites or anything.
People who don't look gift horses in the teeth tend to end up with lame horses with bad teeth.
Also double check the sex if you can.

I agree. Heavily. There is usually a reason why people sell animals for cheap that are worth more. Please remember that people don't just give animals away. There is probably a reason. I want you to know. I have picked many a snake up from cl. There's always a reason they are selling them. Most of the time it's due to illness'/ problems they don't want to deal with. Please check are keep in mind about the other snakes in your collection. (if there are any) I've just seen some really sad situations where the sellers try to just sell them cheap to get rid of them. Just know upfront and protect yourself.

I completely agree with Dr Del. I would definately ask for more info. It could be that they need money fast and that's why they are selling her but it's just as likely that she is sick so err on the side of caution here.

thanks for all the advice guys. I am aware of everyones concern. When i did talk to the guy he actually doesn't know about pythons at all. I asked if the two he was selling was a Normal and a Spider. He didnt know what i was talking about. All he said is "i know there are just pythons". I will check her out tomorrow most likely. If i see anything wrong i will not be purchasing her. Thanks for everyones concerns and comments.
