Mites on snakes body while using PAM

If there are mites on my snake when I treat his tank with PAM (of course there are), will they eventually die off, or should I treat him with something separately? I gave him a 30 minute Dawn bath, but as soon as I put him back in his tank, I saw a single little mite on him- so I assume that others were also missed.

If PAM is in the tank/tub, the snake will rub against it as it slithers along. The mites on the snake will die too!

No need to treat the snake, simply use PAM as directed and re-treat with PAM 2 weeks later.

For clarification - PAM = Provent-A-Mite, not PAM cooking spray.

When I've had mites I always treat the snake as well as the enclosure. It gets rid of them MUCH faster. The product Reptile Relief is safe enough to spray on the snake itself without hurting the animal. I usually put them in a tub with no bedding and heavily spray the the snake and rub it down with the Reptile Relief. Mites may climb back on the snake that may be in the enclosure but it definitely helps out when taking care of a mite problem.
