Lone Star Reptile Expo (September 10-11)

    http://www.lonestarreptileexpos.com/

My first reptile show I'll be able to go to is this weekend! Has anyone else been to this one?

Sadly I am Not Allowed to get any herps at it. I'm currently staying with my mom and stepdad to help raise my sister's children, and I have been told No Reptiles.

Which stinks, but I can't do anything about it. Anyways, I'm gonna be going with my uncle (the only member of my family that understands and shares my passion for snakes) and hope to have a good time.

It was my first reptile show too. I went to the one earlier last year. It was on the small side, but those people can cram lots of tables in it. Lots of BP's, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, crested geckos, some turtles and tortoises, many assorted snakes, and they even had some reticulated pythons and blue tounged skinks. I got my second leopard gecko there, from H.I.S.S., and I am very pleased with her. It's too bad that you can't get a herp now, I hope you can get one soon.

Yes, the location has changed just now from the last show. The site I linked has the new spot and directions to it (yay GPS on the phone!)

I'll probably have to talk my uncle out of getting a reptile, he's a huge fan of the big boys and he doesn't have the room for a burm or retic right now.

That, and his daughter (who's about 5 or 6 right now, can't remember) is a little turd and would mess with the poor snake. I love my cousin/niece (I'm a good 2 decades older than her), but she needs to learn some manners with animals before he gets another big snake. Or just another animal period.

And I really do wish that I could pick up a couple female hatchlings at this show, just to start raising them up and getting some size on them.
