    feeding multiples?

    hey guys,

I was curious, when you feed adult ball pythons large ASF's in multiples how many do you offer? I have a girl who will just keep eating if you let her, and although I'm not complaining - I don't want her to over eat either. I was curious as to how many is too much? Currently she'll eat three and I'll put her away, but i know she will keep going if i don't..

When she's in kill mode she's one scary lady.

    Cheers.

If you want an animal that eat with consistency do not over feed.

Feed an appropriate size prey each week.

An appropriate size prey is a prey as big as your snake's girth size when it comes to hatchling and juvies.

Adult definitely do not need 10% to 15% of ther body weight to thrive, prey between 80 to 120 grams are plenty enough for a large female and when it comes to males a prey that is about 65 grams will be enough.

I agree. My biggest girls (over 3,000 grams) usuall eat one x pressed (about 100 grams) or two large (about 60 grams) per week.

Especially the big girls could eat probably 10 at once back to back... But then they would get over full and screw up their feeding schedule. Fat snakes are NOT happy snakes.
