    Herper Problems

My house is not remotely fit for company... But all 13 snakes are in clean enclosures.

Our neighbors have us on speed dial to remove unwelcome wild snakes from their garages.

Any time I see a Snickers or a candy bar with caramel I think of my Caramel corn snake. #HerperProblems

My coworker joked that he wanted to borrow one of my snakes to fix his mouse problem. #HerperProblems

People acting exasperated instead of sharing your excitement whenever you tell them about your newest reptile.

No pee or poop rule, no excuses. I hate dirty tanks, even been late for Christmas dinner at my mothers. And finding a dirty tank first thing in the morning. Or staying up real late, and being so ready for bed. And finding a gift, and cleaning at 3:30 in the morning.

    Sorry, this is kinda long.

Anyone watch the show adventure time? Theres a character named gunter the penguin. I got a hatchling savannah monitor about two years ago and named him gunter after the character. I was 95% sure that he was a male. Then a few months later in the show the character was revealed to be a female by giving birth to a cosmic cat thing.

Flash forward to january of this year, i got a "female" sav (named loraine after the chicken in the same show) Then in march gunter got really sick and overnight lost a ton of weight. I flipped out, turns out gunter was EXACTLY like the penguin. Gunter laid close to 40 eggs. I got their genders flipped and caught them mating a week ago, and am now prepared for good eggs! (Gunter and loraine are both very healthy now and pumping especially gunter up with lots of vitamines injected into their rats. Especially calcium for good egg shells)
