    Lucky...

I cant believe a virus got to 3 of my ball pythons....the vet said she has diarrhea....yeah right well today I woke up and found her coiling and twitching so I sat with her there for about 2 hours trying to get her to stop but she finally passed and now shes buried in the backyard she was a gorgeous girl that I rescued...the most depressing picture I ever took was of her before I got her all healed up...I feel horrible that she went through that and then I took her and she ended up gone

    Re: Lucky...

I would like to know if you find out. I had a normal female laid eggs then was fine. Was off feed still and I was checking on all my snakes daily. Had a suprise one morning when I came in there was waterey excriment everywhere and she was dead! No idea what happened, she showed no signs of being sick. So far all the other snakes that were housed with her are fine. So if you do find out what it was please let me know. Anyone know how much the vet charges for a necropsy?

I've had to do a couple necropsies they've cost me 50$ at most. They can run high though if you need
To do tissue samples. This last year I lost my first female in breeding for no apparent reason. She was there and then gone. Sometimes it cannot be explained. I got the necropsy done on her and that one cost me 150$ with a break from my vet and u still got no answer. I'm so sorry about your loss. Sometimes they go and there's nothing we giants cam do about it.
