    !!! My first rescue !!!

I found this 2-3 year old male normal on craigslist...when i went to look at the snake i noticed it had stuck shed all over and small pieces of shed all over the cage...they had a heat pad and 2 heat lamps on the tank without a thermostat...there was no humidity in the tank and there was urates and :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r: all over the cage as well...the guy said that the snake didnt like the heat pad and it never went over by it unless it was unplugged, i told him that the heat pad gets way to hot and required a thermostat and thats y the snake didnt go near it...they also said it dont eat well, but i already knew y he didnt (bad husbandry)...i ended up talking the guy down to $40 for the snake, a 20 long critter cage with screened top, the heat pad, 2 heat lamps, a nice hide and a stand...i stopped at feeder supply on the way home and got it a small rat...after i got it home i put it in a box with the rat and closed the lid...5 minutes later my girlfriend said she heard it doing something and when i looked in there it was eating it...its now in the cleaned tank with the right humidity and temps...the sheds are off and the heat mat is on a thermostat set to 92 degrees...hes in the hide and keeps peeking his head out every so often,,,i think he is doing good.

    Looks awesome!

Not knowing what size you feed him, if he is peaking his head out maybe he is looking for more.

What type of substrate are you using? It looks like a natural forest, I bet he loves it

I'm pretty sure that the rat I fed him was plenty big...it was a little bigger than the biggest part of his body...he is a little under weight...but if he ways like that once a week he should catch up quick...and I'm using cyprus mulch.
