That's not always so obvious. The head spot, flames, and slight checkering lean towards YB. My PYB male doesn't have a ton of checkering either and I've seen some proven YB with almost no checkering. Who knows until you breed though.

Yeah, I think that's going to be the idea...
We've suspected this guy's mom to be a possible YB from when we first got her. I've never been convinced until I saw her babies. Her clutch was 6 eggs. 1.1 Mojaves, and 1.3 'Normals'.
One of the 0.1 "Normals" looks like his bro, too, and really has a lot more speckling. But, as unproven, I'll have to sell it as a normal... Maybe we'll pick up an older YB male and pair him with the damsel.
The mojos are super bright/vibrant. I guess it all comes down to what we see when breeding her to a YB.

mine has the same belly pattern with lots of dark orange flames but was told shes normal so now she was labeled as my dinker lol but im selling her now though so it can be someone elses dinker

I'd put my money on normal. I think it would be a waste of time to breed your female to a YB, but that's just me. If she doesn't prove out, then you are stuck with a bunch of extremely inexpensive animals. Male YB's are like $75 right now, and females are $150. So personally if I were going to pair a male to her, it would be a double or triple gene YB male. At least if she didn't prove out the clutch wouldn't be a total loss then.

Re: Here we go again... Is it a Yellow Belly?
Hi,
I suck at yellowbellies and can't make my mind up either way.
I would recommend holding back a male one of the different looking hatchlings and breeding him back to mum to find out one way or another though.

And if she does prove you end up with white snakes that are possible or probably this or that. Keep in mind that one mans inexpensive is another mans affordable. With all the new YB projects going on I don't think you can have enough YB girls. They make everything better. We can't all afford spotnose alibinos and butter womas Matt Good luck whatever you decide to do Clark!
