okay...... to the OP:
bump your temps up, bout 91 hot mid to low 80s cool. i would also get a smaller tank, from the pic, the tank looks huge, and if its a baby the tank is WAAAY to big!!! i stated my baby off in a 10 gallon, witch i am positive ppl will say that is bad, but it worked great!
get two identical hides as mentioned... dont offer the food too much, like stated that will stress it out even more.
as for the vet, it doesnt need to go, my BP went off food for 6 months.. yours is just going to be a pickey eater till its starts to eat...
also i seen you are feeding live... it could be that the snake is scared of the live prey as well, sounds uncommon and probably wrong, but it could happen... try f/t maybe???
hope you get it fixed, and good luck.

If this was an expensive morph, over 1 month old, or a proven breeder, then it would be at the vet faster than you could say vet!
And just for the record, I HATE chihuahuas!!!
this really got to me...why should it matter how much it cost? Its a living creature that YOU decided to take responsibility of. Just because it wasn't a piebald or an expensive morph does not mean it should be neglected medical attention...

Well after starving it for a month(got it 6-18), without vet care it passed away.
http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...149260-Dead-BP
A vet could have tube fed it.
A vet could have checked for parasites
A vet could have given vitamin injections to stimulate feeding
A vet could have saved it!
You killed it by not getting it proper vet care in the month it took to starve to death.

Guys,
I think we need to pull back a little.
Sometimes it's better to just shake your head and pass on by without comment.

I do apologize for being so harsh.
The natural predation of the weak and infirm has caused many creatures to evolve to hide their injuries and illnesses. This is also why I always advise a vet trip when someone "thinks" something is wrong with their animal, for it to be bad enough for us to see it, it is probably already in dire condition.
People need to understand that owning an animal means you are completely responsible for their well being. This means that they need to be able to provide vet care for these animals, not just when things are at the worst and the animal is on its death bed, but regular checks and tests done, to provide the best environment for them to thrive in, not just survive.
Our hobby, our little and large friends are under constant fire in the public eye. How we care for them not only affects them and us, but everyone who has and cares for reptiles.
The attitude of disposable pet needs to end (with any animal).
