    New pics :)

My female normal is going into shed soon Wanted to get a pic to document the difference once she sheds. My accurite is readying anywhere between 46-50%, and I don't have any salt to test, but there is condensation on the tub, and I'm misting. So I'm guessing it's either not mounted the proper way (it's kinda dangling in lol) or off or something else ... I'm guessing the humidity is fine, but I may add some water above the heat to help out. Have seen it go up to 52% at highest, and normally is 49-50 on the readout. Now that she is going into shed, I'd like the humidity to go up some but I'm unsure ...

    Anyway here is a pic

And here is a pic of the new water dish setups I got today ... 3" PVC couplers and some mini plastic cups... Love these.

Nice collection you've got going over there! Did you glue the PVC?

Nope, want to be able to clean the little plastic cups or replace them with ease. Can throw these in the dishwasher for a while before they go bad, and I got 40 of em for like $4 at walmart, fit perfect!!! Both of the snakes so far LOVE these water dishes. They climb on them, rest inside of them some, drink out of them immediately. I also have a couple hides made out of check box bottoms ... Seem to be perfect size right now but they both are out a lot.

Tried feeding the butter a ray pup tonight, but it was frozen ... I warmed it a bit and I wonder if he will take it overnight ....

The butter has been eyeing the rat .... I even heard him.... growl? at it a few times. He then took a little stroll into his hide... and is back out now, looking at the rat pup again......

Now he just mouthed it ... stuck his mouth around it .... WTF? LOL. He is really thinking about it ........ Wow this is quite fun to watch.

Ahhh he just moved it ... and keeps mouthing it...
Looks like he will be eating it for sure. He is just positioning it for himself.

Humidity is quite a bit higher than I thought it was ... a bit too high for my liking. Sure it will dissipate if I leave the lid off for a while here and there. So that's good

Here is a pic of the normal checking out her water dish and acurite ... The temp was a little high in this pic, it has since gone down to 91.

You can see here how the rat is about as thick as he is...

Here he is moving it and trying it out

    IMG_6671 by muffywrx, on Flickr

Not sure why he is taking his time, but as long as he eats I'm happy... Hopefully he will eat it and won't snub his nose at a larger meal.

It was really cute when he hiss/growled at it right before he ate it

Right after he finished swallowing ...

He was making a growl noise after he finished ... is this normal? Lol. It's cute, long as he is okay!

The farther down it goes the less fat he looks, lol.
