    VMSherp--would anyone recommend buying?

i'm still new to this type of site, and i know choosing a breeder is a topic that's been beat to death, but i wanted to find out whether anyone has an opinion or any experience specifically dealing with VMS herp. i am debating whether or not to purchase a breeder male from them, but i have very little experience with online dealers.

i know some businesses are great due to the work and integrity of their respective proprietors (jkobylka reptiles, bhb, ralph davis, etc.), but i have not previously encountered VSM before. they seem to run an excellent online business, clearly know what they are doing, and were extremely prompt and helpful in responding to my initial inquiry. however, there is only so much to go on without having the benefit of experience. if anyone has any input at all, it would be much appreciated.

    thanks

    Re: VMSherp--would anyone recommend buying?

they all look great but their info does not specify how well/what they eat & their temperaments...i'd inquire about their eating habits & personalities before buying, just so ya know what your getting.

oh if breeding is in your sights, ask to see a little bit of the offspring...that way you can see what those adults throw out as far as pattern.

    Re: VMSherp--would anyone recommend buying?

thank you both for responding. first off, i live in dc, not colorado. were you asking because VMS is based in colorado?

also, i plan to ask about any available photos of relevant hatches, but to be honest i'm not terribly concerned since i have a couple great girls to pair with him eventually. it's sort of a ground-floor project, and i'm not dropping vast amounts of money in the first place. i'm mostly curious to know whether anyone has dealt with VMS in the past, whether there were any health issues, and their reputation based on personal experience. everything points to VMS being reputable and a company worth doing business with, i just have not heard of them until recently.

    thanks again
