our new kitty...sorry no pics yet.

we picked up our kitty from a friend of mine who had a semi-feral momma & 4 babies. we were only shown 2 as 1 was staying and another was too anxious. the one we ended up bringing home was the black/orange tortoiseshell female.
named her Josie. she hid for about 5 hours or so then finally got curious enough to come out of hiding and explore a little. she even played for a while. now she's in the pantry with her bed, littler box, scratching post and food/water dish, with food of course. i'll let her out in the morning when we've all woken up for the day.
pictures will not be available anytime soon as i do not have a camera at the moment.

Congrats on the new addition to the family! Five hours of hiding is nothing, lol. My most recent cat hid for nearly one week under my bed, only coming out for a few minutes at night to eat/drink/use the litter box. Now I can't get her to stay in my room, she thinks she owns the house and all of the dogs in it.

Re: our new kitty...sorry no pics yet.

its funny when she plays though cuz she hasnt gotten to that i own you all point yet but she's too curious to stay in hiding. she'll chase a toy then rocket to the nearest hiding spot only to come out again. so far its just me and my son up with her right now and he's just finding everything she does hilarious. so far shes tried to sharpen her claws on my back...ouch. i might have to bring out the spray bottle if she keeps that up.
