    feeding

    hi guys i wanted to know if my 114 gram ball python would eat a adult mouse or is it to big hes been eating fuzzy mice i think they are to small any help with be nice thxs

    Hi,

    It depends on how big the mouse it - try and aim for one the same around as the snakes widest point.

    I think that is likely to be a half grown mouse though.

    i dont see why not, when first got mine i fed her adults right off the bat

    Depends on your definition of adult. When I bought frozen adult mice they would often weigh between 18 and 22 grams. I would say that fine for a 114 gram BP. Following the 10% to 15% rule you get 11 to 17 grams as a good prey size and I don't think 18 to 22 grams would be a stretch. That being said I fed an adult male mouse to my king snake a few days ago that was 42 grams. I would say thats a bit large for your BP.
