I have had some time to play with the macro lens a bit more. Here are a few pictures.

Those are stunning pictures. My father has a brand new macro lens that he's going to be letting me borrow for my trusty old Canon EOS D20. I can't wait to "play around" with it.

This is my first macro lens. So far im loving it, I was a little worried that spending so much on the lens, Id not use it as much. Lately I have been using it most of all.. Here are a few more taken today.

Really, really awesome! Now I want one! I hate to ask such a rude question, but what price range are we talking about for a lens like that? I just got my DSLR about a month ago and so far I only have the one lens.

The mandables on that last spider are friggin sweet!!!

I love how you can almost see yourself in the shiny part of those green flies. These are truly breathe taking pictures.. I am completely blown away right now at the quality of these photos.

I use the Nikon D7000 with the Tokina 100mm Macro. I do have a ring flash, but I dont really use it all that much.

Thanks, He was kind of a pain. Would not stay still and very tiny. My camera is in for repair. Once I get it back, I have seen some bigger ones, Im going to try and get some better shots of one.

The lens is the Tokina 100mm f/2.8 macro. I bought it from B&H the lens was 449.00 with overnight shipping, the total was like 481.00 I think out of the 100mm macros. It was the cheaper one in that focal length.. I did do a lot of research on it before I bought it.. The one test site I found.. gave this lens the highest rating out of the 100mm Macros.
