Was messing with my 500 Gram Lesser Females Tub Friday night.... daughter called me to do something and completely forgot I didn't lock the top and it was open juuuuust enough. I forgot about it, went to bed. Woke up to feed everyone Saturday and thats when I saw it! AN EMPTY TUB WITH THE LID CRACKED OPEN!!!
But I didn't panic. I knew she probably didnt get to far. Plus my snake room isn't very big and I have it blocked off from most of my house. So I started looking. Looked everywhere.... under clothes, in cabinets, under boxes.... she was no where to be found.
I started thinking about all the threads on here and what people do, like the flour on the floor, putting there bin on the floor, etc.... Decided to try something most people would probably not do.....lol
I let two live weenling rats loose on the floor in the room and left and went in my living room and watched tv
You see I have a couch in my snake room that I will sit at and watch my Ball pythons when there eating so I can monitor them and make sure the rats do not attack back (because I feed live). Anyways I had a couple rats jump out of my hand a few times when feeding and they seem to end up under my couch. I guess because they feel safe under there?
Anyways I leave for a few hours and do some errands and such. I get home about 8pm and I decided to finally tell my wife one of the snakes got out and to come with me in the snake room because I'm pretty sure I know where she will be.
Soooo I lift up the couch and sure enough laying under there with two big lumps is my Lesser just looking as fat and happy as can be
