Is that bulb designed for plants or reptiles?
Not familiar with your bulb but beardies need a good source of high UV light or they can have bad skeletal problems. I would recommend getting a bulb that is specifically designed for reptiles and even those loose UV potency with time and need to be replaced. Very important for a healthy beardie.

This is the bulb that is currently on her cage, its through a wire screen and at least 10+ inches away from the height she will ever get.

Re: 25 uvb long bulb okay if further?

We use the desert bulbs for our beardie. 10.0 Exo-Terra 18" long bulb about 17" from our beardie.

It might just not give off enough UVB since it's a tropical and not a desert bulb, so it emits half as much UVB as a desert bulb [from their website in the descriptions].

25" is to far to do much good.

All my dragon cages are set up so that the dragons can bask at around 8" from the bulb, I use 24" 10.0 UVB zoo med bulbs.
