    GTP doesnt want to perch?

Hi, my GTP is still a baby yellow right now, iv had her for about 3 months now and for the last couple days she chooses to lay on the ground of her tank rather than on her branch/perch like she usually does, temps are 80-85 and humidity is 70-80, she did this when i first got her but i was just wondering if theres a reason for it?

I wont be getting my GTP until June, but I know in Greg Maxwell's book he mentions some chondros preferring the ground from time to time. As long as your husbandry is good, and the snake is eating, I wouldn't worry about it if he likes chilling on the ground for a day or two.

some just do that. it usually is not a cause for concern. mine used to go down to the floor for the day and only perch at night. as long as you perameters are good, then it should be ok.

Re: GTP doesnt want to perch?

as stated above some due it from time to time and its normal. One thing to mention is the size of the perch it should be about the size of its body around so if its large sometime they will find a more comfortable spot.

Yeah in my experience GTP's never constantly stay on the ground unless something is wrong. I would say that your perches are too small and the ground is more comfortable to lay on.

Your temps and humidity sound good, but how do you measure the temps and humidity?
