What is the safest way to protect a melamine rack from humidity?

im building my rack and one option i had would be to use peel and stick shelving paper on the bottoms of my shelves to help protect my melamine from warping but that is an expensive route to go with 6 shelves... any other ideas? using anything other than melamine is out of the question since it is already cut and paid for

melamine is already protected from humidity unless you got a chip in the covering. at joints use caulk if your that worried about it, I do it for the hell of it, but I don't feel its needed. but you need to make sure its built correctly in the first place to prevent warping, humidity isn't what really hurts it, its some people's design.
