    Super Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly’s

One of my last clutches of the 2010 season was pretty exciting. It was produced from a Super Pastel Yellow Belly to a Pastel Mojave breeding. Some of the eggs in the clutch they produce went bad but the four remaining eggs hatched out some really nice animals. It appears I hatched out two Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly’s and two Super Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly’s. I have hatched out regular Pastel Mojaves so I am certain that the Pastel Mojaves also have the Yellow Belly gene but having no experience with Super Pastel Mojaves I am just going on my gut instinct on them. They just have a look about them that screams Yellow Belly. I have heard from a few breeders that have produced regular Super Pastel Mojave’s and they have all told me that mine have something extra that theirs didn’t have. The only way to know for certain of course is to breed them but I have a nice Female Specter that will be up to size for next year to breed the Male Super Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly to and when the Female is of size I should have some really nice Superstripe or Puma Males to use with her. Here are the pictures of them.

The first one out was this Female Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly PASTMOJYB10-1.

The second one out was this Female Super Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly SUPASTMOJYB10-1.

The third one out was this Male Super Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly SUPASTMOJYB10-2.

The last one out was this Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly PASTMOJYB10-2 another Female.

Like I mentioned earlier having produced regular Pastel Mojave’s in the past I already know what they look like and these are different looking. The blushing is more intense but the overall look is much darker from the Yellow Belly influence. Here is a comparison picture of a regular Pastel Mojave and then a Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly. The pictures where taken when each one of them were about the same age just a few years apart. LOL I think you will see how different they look.

Oh one more thing, check out the difference in eye color on them.

This is an eye picture of a Pastel Mojave I hatched out a few years ago.

This is an eye picture of one of the Pastel Mojave Yellow Belly's.

Pretty cool huh? I hope you enjoy the pictures.
