Crazy, I was just reading a cookbook about how to keep greens fresh and she does it very similar to you! Cookbook is Cookwise if you're interested. She has some very good techniques!

I have some thing to add.
Buy the best quality greens you can get. I buy this one brand that come pre-washed and in a plastic container and it honestly will stay fresh for 1-2 months.
But I'm going to be trying this method with greens that aren't sold in my preferred brand.

Watch out for some of that stuff in the plastic containers ....they put something on them to make it last longer!!!

Re: How to keep your greens and veggies fresh.....
OMG I'm trying this as soon as I get new greens! Which will likely be in the next couple days as my greens are starting to go bad... Our beardie just can't eat the greens fast enough before they go bad especially now that she's brumating and only eating every other day.
I think this should be stickied...

0.1.0 Sandfire x Giant German Citrus Bearded Dragon [Isis]
0.0.1 Crested Gecko Tattoo [Dorian Gray]
1.0.0 Fiance [Jordan]
I'm a girl that likes reptiles, tattoos, tech, cars, and F1 races. Now if only I had more room in my house for computers and tanks, and a huge garage for cars and trucks...

In your tuperware you can lay a damp paper towel over the top of the veggies and tuck them in like a bug in a rug. Helps lock in moisture as well
