    Anaconda Tub Ideas?

Im gonna be working on building a 6'x30"x2' naturalistic enclosure for my Yellow Anaconda. How large of a water tub would a 8' Yellow Annie need? I was thinking of putting in a stainless sink to encorporate an easy drain setup for cleaning. The size i was looking at was 30"x24"x9". I know the length and width are big enough but is 7-8" of water enough for a full size male yellow?

Post up your picture. I wouldnt do the kiddy pool. This is gonna be in the cage, in my room, and has to be easily drained and cleaned.

If the water tub is 30x24x9, will 7-8" of water inside the tub be plenty for the snake to soak in? I think its something close to 25-30 gallons of water the sink will hold.

    Re: Anaconda Tub Ideas?

How about a bathtub. Here is a link to a 60" x 30" tub for $118 from lowes. You could build up around it nicely and still drain it. Bigger than a sink.

The bath tub is a bit extreme. I'll go with the sink. The snake will coil itself up and fit. The sink only costs around 50$ too. Thanks for the ideas though.

Im going to check out a couple scrap/surplus places to see if they have any cheap sinks that have been removed during remodeling. A new sink the size i want from Home Depot costs roughly $150. Ill pay it if i have to but rather do it on the cheaper side being its only used for the snake to soak in and his bathroom. Lol.

I checked out craigslist. Theres a sink near by thats 30"x20"x7.5". You think that size will be enough for a full size male yellow to soak in? I was thinking of something more around 10" deep but i can get that other sink for $30.
